Body
The Fender Vintera II ’60s Telecaster features an alder body with a gloss polyester finish in Fiesta Red (shown) and Sonic Blue. It has a Vintage-Style 3-Saddle Bridge with Slotted Steel Saddles and a Mint Green pickguard. True to vintage spec, there is no tummy cut on the back. GuitarSpec noted the guitar was in perfect intonation, despite the barrel saddles. Also included is a Deluxe Fender Gig Bag.
Pickups
The Vintera II 60s Telecaster is loaded with Vintage-Style Mid-’60s pickups. They are selected with a 3-position blade switch: Position 1. Bridge Pickup, Position 2. Bridge and Neck Pickups, Position 3. Neck Pickup. The Volume and Tone controls add more tonal possibilities and versatility. GuitarSpec noted that the single coil pickup hum was present, but not overbearing, most likely due to shielding in the cavity and under the pickguard.
Neck
Like most Fender vintage-era necks, the Vintera II ’60s Telecaster has a larger neck profile than their modern series. With a maple neck and rosewood fretboard, the neck features an Early 60s “C” profile, which GuitarSpec found thicker than an American Professional II, but just barely, and the width a bit thinner than the modern neck. It features a synthetic bone nut, 21 vintage tall frets, and Fender Vintage style tuners, which GuitarSpec found to be smooth and accurate.
